Lady Gaga Tweets About Indonesian Concert

Written By omen on 23/05/12 | 10.53

While Lady Gaga was denied a permit for her June 3 show in Jakarta following Islamic protests over her risqué persona, MTV News reports that the singer's promoters are apparently in talks with government officials in hopes that the concert can still take place.

Meanwhile, Mother Monster has tweeted her confusion over the matter.
The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence," she tweeted. "If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone."

This isn't the first time Gaga has found her tour facing protests.

Her shows in the Philippines this week were met with resistance from a Christian youth group who objected to her music, in particular the song "Judas," which they believe mocks Jesus Christ. However, both performances in Manila took place without incident.

But just in case it hadn't gone smoothly, the "Born This Way" songstress was clearly prepared.

"Don't worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyoncé will just bail me out," she joked on Twitter prior to Tuesday night's show.
